He is out of the same bitch as Hoss (Dally), but his father (Spur) is out of Wolf & Buff, two very talented cowdogs. In fact, Buff was my favorite cowdog that I saw while I lived out west, and we're very excited to have her grandson here!
Very early on we realized that Nash is a really neat dog. He is an old soul and it is sometimes easy to forget that he is still a very young dog! Nash makes fans wherever we go and I do believe that he will be the one to watch in the next few years.
Nash has lots of drive and determination and lives for working. Heaven help the soul that keeps Nash away from his stock! He is working sheep and ducks now several times a week, and has been on cattle a few times.
I had planned to trial Nash this fall in ASCA Started, but I have now re-adjusted my plans to hold him out a bit longer and train him to a more advanced level before I start trialing him. Nash is a really nice dog to work and I want to make sure that he has the best possible foundation that I can give him before we start his trial career.
Nash working on his baby drives in October at 16 months of age.
