Stockdog University is an all-breed training facility.  If your dog shows instinct, we'll help you
train it!  Even non-traditional herding breeds can show instinct to different degrees and these
dogs have a great time herding!

Herding is a great way to exercise your dog mentally and physically.  You'll be amazed when
your dog has their "lightbulb moment" and finally realizes what they were bred to do!

At Stockdog University, we let students develop at their own pace and we encourage them to
choose their own goals.  Some students need a dog to work on their farm, some love to compete
in stockdog trials, while others just herd for the fun of it!

Lessons are filled by an hourly queue time and are open until everyone has worked.   Look on
our calendar for days marked in blue - those are the dates scheduled - weather permitting, of
course!  Be sure to check the calendar for updated times.  (Some days we have to stop lessons
at a specific time due to other engagements.)  In warmer weather, we may start at 8 am to beat
the heat.  I will post any time changes on the
Yahoo list or on Facebook.  If you won't be arriving
until later in the morning, please call or email to let us know that you are coming late so that we
don't stop early.

If this is your first time coming out to Stockdog U, please be sure to give us a call or email to
make sure that we will be having lessons the day you are coming.

Please turn right at the end of the driveway and drive around the barn and through the blue
gates to the right of the barn.  Then drive past the training area and park to the left of the tractor
shed, or in front of the duck arena.

Please pick up after your dog (we have baggie stations) and dispose of your bag in any trash can.
Dogs must be on leash at all times, unless they are working.

We have a hydrant, bucket, and baby pool available for cooling off your dog.

Children are always welcome!  We have kids of our own, so there are already playmates here
and we have lots of trucks and tractors to play in the dirt with.  Kids are welcome to participate
in lessons, when age appropriate, and feeding animals, etc. - but they MUST be supervised at all
times!

We now have a porta potty on the premises, but it is
very expensive to keep here!  So please,
feel free to donate to the "Can - Can" to help defray the cost!
